A Blessing For Those Who Work

Media as Medicine

When we learn to honor the ebb and flow, the natural rhythm of our lives, the “work” that we do can be easier and maybe even more effective by learning when to stop and rest in the richness of our lives outside of what we do to make money.

If you’re reading this going into your day of work, you can even stop work and notice that you are a free being always bigger than the limits of any task.

A Blessing for Those Who Work

Beloveds,

There are ways that enslavement happens.

Work, no matter how much joy may be present, needs to end.

Once there was a man, who loved what he did so much he never put his tools down.

At first his friends thought him noble because indeed he was a master.

Soon his children stopped asking him to play because his hands were full of tools.

His wife became more lonely day by day, because the tools were in the way.

Sure You Can- An Antidote to Doubt

An Antidote for doubt

Over the years we have received many requests for blessings, most often during sessions. Lately we have written blessings for weddings, surgeries, doctor visits and family conflicts.

As part of our offering to our collective evolution, we will be sending you blessings periodically from the spiritual team that works with us when we work with clients. We offer these blessings as reminders to receive from the spirit of life the gifts of your wise heart and loving nature.

Bridging Worlds

Bridging Worlds

Nineteen years ago, our friend David Z. was on vacation in southern Colorado  with his buddy who he describes as a gray haired, Jewish, neuro-psychologist from Brooklyn. They stayed in a log cabin motel with a bar.

That night, the jukebox stopped playing and his friend asked if he could play the piano and sat down and played boogie-woogie. After one song, the place went wild. As David Z. describes, a Harley rider, with a slicked back pony tail, old fashioned tattoos, wearing an unfashionably tight t-shirt, went outside returning with a whole set of harmonicas and joined in. For David Z. these two guys couldn’t have been more different.

Remembering Our Real Roots

Remembering our real roots

“The remembrance of love and of yourself as a loved one goes back to the memory of your soul’s creation.  It’s part of your DNA. It’s part of what you come into existence with.”

This quote from The Book of Love and Creation by Paul Selig is like holy water to us. Roots are quiet and the foundation of all that grows. We have roots just like a tree. They provide grounding and nourishment to our lives.

This tree is a great example of “as Above, so Below’.  The canopy of leaves is about the same size as the roots below.

We, like this tree, are rooted in Love. Remembering our real roots is easy to forget or disconnect from. We tend to think we’re in charge of love and thankfully we’re not. Love waters our roots. It’s the nutrient we long for.

Even when we think we’re unlovable, no matter how

The New Assisted Living #2: The Flood

The New Assisted Living #2- The Flood

5:45 am- One morning a week ago, and only four days after moving into our home, David awakened to a dripping sound.  He first thought it was an app on the i-phone that was making the noise. To his surprise and shock, he stepped out of bed into 2 inches or so of warm water. He took a few steps and realized water was everywhere.

The New Assisted Living

The New Assisted Living

Sometimes I resist taking my own medicine.

Recently I went on a trip to the United States to obtain my permanent visa for Mexico. Even after six months of asking questions and doing research, it was never quite clear what the requirements for the visa were. So I started out with a vague sense of what I needed, a copy of practically every bank statement for the last six months and a lot of prayers.

My friend Nancy, Nancy G. Shapiro, went with me sharing the drive and so much more.  We stayed with friends of Nancy‘s in San Antonio who graciously opened their home and shared much love and humor.

Our friend Tim referred to us staying there as “the new assisted living”. We loved the re-frame.
