Help Bring Not So Little Cora to the World

Help Bring Not So Little Cora to the World

There is something in each of us that is bursting at the seams.

It can’t wait to come out and play in the world.

As some of you know, I was inspired, some would say ‘called’, to write Not So Little Cora, a children’s book for adults too. The journey of writing this is something that I think we all can relate to. I had to face into and make peace with all the dark jackals that wanted to talk me out of manifesting what my heart was calling me to create.

This is a time in the world when each of us is being called to live joyously and wildly. We are all are being inspired to arise. In creating this book, I wanted to give children and adults the remembrance of what it’s like to live unfettered through love connected to the ALL of Life.

As Cora’s friend Marco says,

“Love is bigger than Big and knows just what to do.”

What if that playful, curious, wonder-filled child in each of us had a place at the table of our lives?  I want more of that inside me.

A friend who read Not So Little Cora wrote,

“I’m sure kids will love it, but I’ll be very excited to give more than a few copies to adults too!! Not So Little Cora taught me so much. I’ll be reading it more than once. Cora awoke the kid inside me that I had to protect for so long. But now, I’m inspired to bring that inner kid out again and see life from a higher and more loving perspective!” C.P. I’m writing to you because you are each part of my spiritual family, my family of love.

Today I’ve launched an IndieGogo fundraiser to help with publishing, illustrations, website, Spanish translation and marketing.

Will you help bring Not So Little Cora into the world? I’d love your help in championing the cause of creativity, innocence and love that Cora embodies.

Our Pilgrimage Has Already Begun

Our Pilgrimage Has Already Begun

Some would say heading off on a pilgrimage and shutting down for a period of time is a little bit crazy. However, we’ll be doing just that. We are leaving behind our connection to clients, home, all the momentum and trappings of our lives in order to stay honest to the soulful truth that we each are.

The bells of San Miguel are joyously clanging in the background filling the air with their reminder of the comfort and beauty of where we live. And yet, their bell song reminds us to stop, drop and pray so that a greater presence of love and grace can prevail in each of our lives.

Our pilgrimage has already begun.

We and our dear friend Dwight Konrad who will be journeying with us, are each stepping toward the rich pathway of what’s next in each of our lives.

The perfect truth is, we do not know who we will be, or what will follow after having walked the sacred pathways of England and Scotland. All we know is that it’s time to cast away the old molds, no matter how beautifully created, that hold us in ancient limitation.

Each of you, and happily most of you, are aware that every one of us is on a pilgrimage of our own creation. So, perhaps you’ll dance with us in these rich questions.

No matter how beautiful, no matter how comfortable, no matter how much investment, is the creation of my life truly serving the song of my heart?

Or as we heard someone say recently, “If I really followed my heart then my life would change, so would my family, my marriage, maybe even my career.  I’m too scared to change even though I really want to, so I’ll just stay the same.”

If the song in your heart is on loud and the comfort you’ve felt is no longer satisfying, what might you lay down so that you can step into the calling of your life?

To be continued…..

Love, David, Susan and Dwight

Adventure to Guatemala MotoGuat2017

Adventure to Guatemala Motoguat2017

We announced on Facebook this week our #motorcycle trip #MotoGuat2017 from San Miguel de Allende to Guatemala in February. We’ve ridden much of Mexico, US and Canada by motorcycle and now we’re adding Guatemala to the list.

Motorcycling is one way we satisfy our adventurous side. We can feel the air, smell the land and connect with people more easily than traveling by car. It’s also very meditative. One has to be present to ride.

And anyone can have adventure in their lives.

Adventure is a willingness to go beyond our habits of familiarizing everything.

There is beauty and life all around that if we really plug into it makes an ordinary day extraordinary. The greater life around us is just waiting for us to say yes to going beyond our current frameworks.

What adventure is waiting for you today?

Remembering the Adventure of Life

We were not born to live a mundane existence.
The essence of who we are – pure, clear and strong is life itself.
There is a pressure that comes from the world around us, sometimes even a demand that demands our surrender into a humdrum day-to-day way of being.

When we say yes to that demand, something inside at the heart of our being knows we are stepping out of the rich passionate flow of our life into an ordinariness that may be convenient but costly to our hearts.
