You Are Not a Slave

Over Giver’s Anonymous

Not long ago, we formed a group called Over-Giver’s Anonymous with some of our clients. Anyone else relate?

We’ve been learning to give from our overflow not our core battery of life. This hasn’t always been easy for two fundamental caregivers. The following blog came with the help of our allies.

You are Not a Slave

Have you noticed lately that there seem to be a lot of demands for your attention? Not just the normal needs that can seem like a demand from our beloveds, but in other areas of your life as well.

Learning to notice and analyze the nature of a demand for our attention is how you stay free and in charge of how you spend your life force. This requires that you put your automatic behavior in slow motion mode. It is how you can stop over-giving.

The overuse of your kindness circuit that can get addicted to over-giving can sometimes lead to a loss of freedom and the feeling that you are “enslaved” to a job, a person, or a place.

Learning to feel and exercise freedom at this time in the world is the primary ingredient to being a contributor of love, possibility and healing for the planet.

The following is an invocation or prayer to help you claim in ever-greater ways your birthright as a free ultimately creative living being.

Oh Beloveds of Life,

Be reminded you were created in a spark of life that is boundless.
Be reminded that you are of life itself.
Be reminded your nature is freedom.

We hold you close and breathe into you a fresh breath of freedom
so that you may each step forth in freedom and empowerment
no matter where you are or what you are doing.

Sometimes a kindly act from you can produce a weakness in those you love.
Reminding someone that they have freedom and strength within them
and that they can stand up empowered
is more important than fixing the problem they have created.

We each must learn how to be in constructive community together helping each other to arise in strength combined with loving action to end the legacy of slavery.

If you are depleted and continue to give to those you love, your body will suffer.
Learning to not over-give is the foundation of a sustainable life.

Consider this, are you supporting a weakness
or calling up the strength, integrity and independence in another?

When we all arise in the vast love and freedom of our hearts
there is an unmistakable joy that fills the air because we are living out of our birthright
as sons and daughters of life itself.

There is a broadcast coming to you from the very heart of life
that is designed to produce a remembrance within you
that you are a free being and can act from that freedom at all times.

The tiniest gesture of an act from liberated freedom
can produce a cascade of joyful action and noticeable love.

Let us know if you want to join our group Over-Giver’s Anonymous. It’s a commitment to growing the skills to give from our abundance not from when we are depleted. We’re even forming a special online coaching group. If you are interested Click Here.

And if you’d like to comment we’d love to hear from you below.

Thanks for journeying with us.

Adventure to Guatemala MotoGuat2017

Adventure to Guatemala Motoguat2017

We announced on Facebook this week our #motorcycle trip #MotoGuat2017 from San Miguel de Allende to Guatemala in February. We’ve ridden much of Mexico, US and Canada by motorcycle and now we’re adding Guatemala to the list.

Motorcycling is one way we satisfy our adventurous side. We can feel the air, smell the land and connect with people more easily than traveling by car. It’s also very meditative. One has to be present to ride.

And anyone can have adventure in their lives.

Adventure is a willingness to go beyond our habits of familiarizing everything.

There is beauty and life all around that if we really plug into it makes an ordinary day extraordinary. The greater life around us is just waiting for us to say yes to going beyond our current frameworks.

What adventure is waiting for you today?

Why a Beauty Retreat?

Tree in Pyramid

Last week we visited the Pyramid Cañada de la Virgen an Otomi site a half hour outside of San Miguel. This moment of the life force of Beauty in nature was deeply moving to us both.

Extending Holiday Offer into 2017-Awakening Into Beauty Retreat

We are extending our Holiday Offer for the Awakening Into Beauty Retreat because we feel that Beauty is the necessary energy needed at this time in the world.

The response to the Awakening Into Beauty retreat is heartening. Some have said they are so grateful we are doing this because they really need it and San Miguel is an inspirational setting.

In another conversation, as a friend asked “Why would the Beauty Retreat change my life and make it better?”

Here is our answer.

Beauty is not just an idea, it’s a living energy that wants to dance us. It connects us to the greater life we are and that surrounds us and allows possibility to unfold in our lives.

Through the processes we have designed each person will see and feel the ways they have conditioned or edited their connection to beauty. You will liberate your heart, your sacred intelligence to be in creative union with the life force beauty is.

Why?

When we have distanced ourselves from beauty our lives begin to shrink. We begin to feel that we are slaves to our lives rather than creators who are free and sovereign.

Through the lens of beauty, you can have curiosity and joy, even in the midst of challenging times. You will leave with a renewed connection to the greater life you so that you can allow new opportunities, relationships and abundance to occur in ways you could not engineer.

At Wisdom Rx, we know this really works because we’re doing this. If beauty and curiosity are not present in our lives real transformative healing is slowed down or doesn’t happen so Come and Transform through Beauty with us.

We love journeying with you,

David and Susan

Sharing Beauty Stories

leaf with Dew

We wanted to share a blog written by our partner in Journey’s In Transformation, Gwen Mazer, so you could have taste of the heart and passion she has for Beauty. In March 2017 our RetreatAwakening Into Beauty centers around Beauty from the inside out where we can breathe in its essence and connect with our source.

FINDING  BEAUTY
by Gwen Mazer

Beauty knows no bounds, she is to be found everywhere.  She awes us with her stunning variations, in the spirit of nature with a walk in the woods, the infinite shapes and colors to be found in a flower, the fluttering of a hummingbird, the sparkle and roar of the sea. We are moved by the symphony of light, the sunrise, sunset, touched by the brilliance of the moon on a crystal clear night, surprised by the colors in a puddle after the rain.

Beauty manifests as joy in the delight and wonder of a gaggle of little children, the sound of their chatter, the colorful bouquet of their assorted clothing, and the air of innocence as they go ambling down the street hand in hand.

Beauty takes our breathe away with the fluid movement and grace of a ballerina, thrills us with the soaring flight of a modern dancer as he leaps gracefully through space, sends us into a moment of heavenly grace on the notes of music exquisitely played.

Physical beauty can be joyful to behold, can cause pain and anguish if we indulge in comparison or mistake glamour for real beauty. It can unravel our minds with desire, rage, envy, or lust. It can cause us to lose our senses, to forget the real source of beauty the light that shines from within.

In beauty is the embrace of true connection, serenity, compassion, love of the face lined with years of living, the delight of a baby born brand new, the eros of true love found and consummated, empathy, caring and deep intention to understand the feelings of another.

Beauty of being is discovered in our vulnerability, when we are willing to be truly seen by another. Beauty is found in our willingness to explore our perceptions, our thoughts, when we let go of our ideas of the other and realize we are all part of the human family.

Beauty can visit in unexpected moments, times when we have been cracked open enough to hear the quiet whisper of our inner voice and we listen. We may be guided to a fork in the road, to a path untraveled. We trust beauty to be our guide and travel onward as she lights our way towards wisdom and well-being.

We’d love to hear what’s beautiful in your life. Please share below.

Yours in Beauty,
David and Susan

Remembering the Adventure of Life

We were not born to live a mundane existence.
The essence of who we are – pure, clear and strong is life itself.
There is a pressure that comes from the world around us, sometimes even a demand that demands our surrender into a humdrum day-to-day way of being.

When we say yes to that demand, something inside at the heart of our being knows we are stepping out of the rich passionate flow of our life into an ordinariness that may be convenient but costly to our hearts.

Relief For the Habit of Fear

Relief for the Habit of Fear

Beloveds,

It is time to remember a beginning within you that you have forgotten.
In truth, you are not made of fear.
Fear comes into being when you come to believe you are alone, isolated.

Know that at times fear saves your life.
But when danger is not present and fear persists love becomes lost.
