“The remembrance of love and of yourself as a loved one goes back to the memory of your soul’s creation. It’s part of your DNA. It’s part of what you come into existence with.”
This quote from The Book of Love and Creation by Paul Selig is like holy water to us. Roots are quiet and the foundation of all that grows. We have roots just like a tree. They provide grounding and nourishment to our lives.
This tree is a great example of “as Above, so Below’. The canopy of leaves is about the same size as the roots below.
We, like this tree, are rooted in Love. Remembering our real roots is easy to forget or disconnect from. We tend to think we’re in charge of love and thankfully we’re not. Love waters our roots. It’s the nutrient we long for.
Even when we think we’re unlovable, no matter how entrenched that belief may be, Love is always there.
We have reread these words many times and let them have their “way with us”. They are like a breath of fresh air and a drink of sweet water all at the same time. We invite you to soak in them so you can re-member where you come from, what you are. It’s a gift of ease to settle into this foundational truth.
Maybe you could set a reminder every couple of hours to stop and re-read this quote from Paul’s book and allow it to wash over you. Allow the remembrance of Love rooted deep in you to be nourished and grow. Let your mind be wondrously confounded. Real love is bigger than reason, bigger than our memories, and richer than our traditions.
Love is always available.
The Book of Love and Creation has had a powerful impact in our lives as a catalyst for ease, strength and knowing to arise in even greater ways. If you are going to purchase it from Amazon please support Wisdom Rx and buy here.
Hi Susan and David,
I love your writing and the amazing photograph! Funny, I was just reading about “roots” in the “Untethered Soul”. Thank you for this entry and the next book I will read!
Much Love,
Mignon
